UPDATE: Deputy Chief Dakin has assigned 2 officers to the Senior Center Director, to make checks, and assist, with checking on the well being of our Seniors and making sure they are ok, and have information they need for the various programs available, such as Meals on Wheels. The officers will be in full uniform, with PPE equipment on, when checking.

Senior Companion Program  


The Senior Companion Program through Valley Opportunity Council (VOC) matches frail Chicopee elders with older adult volunteers who keep the elder company, assist with medical appointments or errands, or provide respite to a family member. If you, a loved one, or a friend could benefit from a Senior Companion, call Holly Angelo at 534-3698, extension 103, for a referral.

S.H.I.N.E Counselors Alan Banusewicz and Marilyn Paterno are available to answer your questions about Medicare and other health insurance issues.  SHINE counselors are available Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  An appointment is required by stopping by RiverMills or calling 534-3698.
